5 military personnel kill in Ikorodu

FIVE military work force sent to checkmate pipe­line vandals at Abule zone of Ikorodu, Lagos State were killed in the early hours of Friday as they drew in the vandals who were equipped with every kind of weaponry.


A skillful military source told Saturday Sun that the vandals in their hundreds had trapped the mili­tary work force on watch at the Abule zone killing every one of the five in a furious firearm fight which kept going hours.


The source said the assemblages of three of the five maritime work force have been recouped, nearby their arms while two others are still unaccounted for.


The source further told Saturday Sun that the dare­devil culprits had propelled a response assault on the security specialists who removed them on Wednesday.


Security agents had raged the territory at the small hours of Wednesday taking after a tip off that vandals had brought on a pipeline blast while siphoning fuel.


The source further uncovered on state of anonym­ity that the lawbreakers, who had scooped a tanker heap of PMS and jerrycans running into hundreds, connected with the agents in a firearm duel however we’re over­powered.

He said: “Everything I can let you know is that examination is continuous. I don’t have the subtle elements and can’t let you know noise. I recommend you contact the DHQ on the grounds that the operation is under them.


“Every single partaking officer are staff of the DHQ, they were drawn from different administrations thus I can’t let you know whether it was naval force, armed force, Air Force or police”. Just the DHQ can definitively remark.
