The Federal Government has solicited the Economic Community from West African State (ECOWAS) court not to hear a suit brought before it by ex-National Security Adviser (NSA) Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

The legislature, in a notification of preparatory protest, contended that the subject of the suit was not inside of the court’s purview. It mollified that the issues contained in Dasuki’s suit were being tended to by Nigerian courts.

Dasuki is testing his detainment by the Department of State Services (DSS). He trusted his confinement and the brief seizure of his property added up to infringement of his rights as ensured by universal statutes and the country’s Constitution.

Contending the complaint yesterday, legal advisor to the Federal Government T. A Gadzali asked the court not to hear the substantive suit.

He fought that the legislature had not broke any of the candidate’s rights since two courts held, in particular deciding that Dasuki’s detainment was not disregarding any request.

Gadzali contended that it was not inside of the ward of the ECOWAS court to accept supervisory part over Nigerian courts. He included that it was not likewise inside of the forces of the local court to uphold orders made by the nation’s court.

He battled that by his suit, Dasuki looks to move the court to follow up on issues before Nigerian courts where criminal allegations were pending against the ex-NSA.

“In the event that he feels that the requests for his safeguard were being resisted, the candidate recognizes what to do. He has the alternative of going before any of the courts that made the requests and continue against them for scorn. He can’t come here on the grounds that this court can’t uphold the requests of Nigerian courts,” Gadzali said.

In a counter contention, legal advisor to Dasuki, Wale Balogun, said the realities in connection to the case were not hostile.

The court has suspended to April 11 for decision on regardless of whether it has locale to hear the case.
